just my 2c as asked for
ram is cheap - go 128MB all round (or more). A month or two ago I bout a
128MB 100mhz SDRAM DIMM for $145.
for Linux I recommend a K6 2 300 - cheap but well up to the task ( mine
also runs cool as someone else pointed out before )
