Check if it's running first:

ps aux|grep httpd

If not enter:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start

To use telnet, just type 'telnet IP_address port_no'

Subject: apache not working.. check port 80

Hi everyone,

For some reason apache doesn't seem to be working (it was last
night).

I rember reading that you can telnet to the port and something
should appear? basically, how do I telnet to an ip address and
port?

Thanks,

Pete
