Hello All,
I have installed redhat 5.0 hurricane 2.0.32 i586 for a scientific =
application which requires csh as shell and a line 'setenv HOSTTYPE =
i486-linux' in the .cshrc file.
When I do an echo $HOSTTYPE after login, I get an i386-linux instead.
The setenv produces a list with both HOSTTYPE and MACHTYPE indicating =
i386.
Where is this i386-linux stored and can I force it to become i486-linux.
