Gimp/gtk library assistance needed.

I have "upgraded" to the latest stable gimp and gtk. However something
is not kosher because when I try to run something like control-panel I
get:
control-panel: error in loading shared libraries
/usr/lib/libgtk.so.1: undefined symbol: g_strdelimit
Am I missing something or do I have a wrong version? Below is listed
what my limited knowledge believes are the relevant files:

gtk+-devel-1.0.6-1
gimp-data-extras-1.0.0-2
gimp-devel-1.0.1-1
gimp-1.0.1-1
glib-1.0.6-1
