I've installed and reinstalled a number of times. Here's what I can
suggest based on my own experiences:
1. Make sure the printer is on and connected. Sometimes it faults at
installing the bootloader when it isn't properly attached.
2. Disconnect any SCSI Zip drives and add them later (possibly other
SCSI as well, although I can install without problems with SCSI
harddrives attached). Gets errors similar to yours.
3. If you have an ether board, get it right the first try. For me, a
single mistake and I get to start all over.
4, Get the video setup right the first try. This one gets errors at
various places but, almost always at the bootloader install.
5. Get the updated disk images from the updates at RedHat. Help me a
little on a couple of problems but, not all,
6. Don't let any autoprobing take place. It will most likely get at
least one error. For me, that always ended in starting over.
7. For me, each time I still had to go in and fix some things.
Sometimes something would work on an install and fail to work on the
next install (currently have a printer not working from the last one,
had to create one of the spool directories by hand since it didn't show
up in 2 attempts, ether not working on every other attempt).
Note that these problems all occurred whether I used the 5.0 bootdisk
or the 5.1 updated bootdisk. Things were worse with the original 5.1
disk image. I seemed to have a little more luck using the 5.0 disk but,
that may be coincidence.
