Nope.  I wasn't sure which cards had teh aic7xxx chip.

I have the 1742 (in the message I sent, I think and hope).  EISA.

Yep...

Not surwhich kernel (had 2.0.12 I think before crash).  SCSI cdrom, lance 
eth0, aha1742...

Would appreciate any help.  

I am just bummed that it was a known problem with Rembrandt and wasn't 
fixed before colgate... (2940 and 1742)
