I have been using the Adaptec 2940 card for sometime without any problems
for both Linux and NT 4.0. Extended translation enabled. It has been used
with Infomagic, Caldera, and both Pic and Col redhat versions.. During
install for RH Col version it will not find the SCSI controller on first try
and will ask if you want to search for it. Answer "yes" and it should find
it. Some 2940s' had an old bios in them which caused trouble.
