My Pine SETUP CONFIGURATION has:
inbox-path = ~/IN.mail/IN.djohnson
Taking a look in your .pinerc may shed some light on this. I have
a working Pine/procmail combination. Here is what my .pinerc looks
like in that section:
# Path of (local or remote) INBOX, e.g. ={mail.somewhere.edu}inbox
# Normal Unix default is the local INBOX (usually /usr/spool/mail/$USER).
inbox-path=~/IN.mail/IN.djohnson
###################### Collections, Folders, and Files #####################
# List of incoming msg folders besides INBOX, e.g. ={host2}inbox, {host3}inbox
# Syntax: optnl-label {optnl-imap-host-name}folder-path
incoming-folders="IN.ialbp" ~/IN.mail/IN.ialbp,
"IN.linux-biz" ~/IN.mail/IN.linux-biz,
"IN.charm" IN.mail/IN.charm,
"IN.linux-list" IN.mail/IN.linux-list,
"IN.olympians" ~/IN.mail/IN.olympians,
"IN.tcidj" ~/IN.mail/IN.tcidj,
"IN.redhat" ~/IN.mail/IN.redhat,
"IN.procmail" ~/IN.mail/IN.procmail,
"djohnson-backup" ~/IN.mail/djohnson-backup,
"IN.win-support" IN.mail/IN.win-support
Here is also what my ~/IN.mail looks like:
