That won't solve Allen's problem. He wanted to be able to use ^H in
login, _before_ his startup scripts are run. In this case, I see no
easy way to have it done... mingetty doesn't source any scripts or
offer options to chnge stty settings. Only thing I could recommend is
switch to a different getty (like getty_ps) which offers such options.
