Blimey,
You think RH4.0 is perfect, until you install it on a multiuser
machine..
Users have so far whinged:
1) ytalk delete doesn't work on console. (as I pointed out the 8 bit
version seems to cause this)
2) screen is bust.
3) The 3.0.3 style desktop boots up with minniscule xterm/kill/xclock
buttons etc. (happened on my personal machine for a while which then
magically fixed itself!!)
And I feel like whinging:
1) chfn appears to allow users to change their real names. I intensely
dislike this behaviour.
2) poor amount of logs taken; I'm used to all connections being logged by
tcp_wrappers in the form of "service: connect from a@b" etc.
3) (nasty). The adduser command (which you have to use if you enable
shadow) makes an entry in /etc/shadow that is broken. For example, passwd
will NOT change the password (despite claiming to) until you manually fix
the numeric fields in /etc/shadow.
