I would like to rebuild the RH 4.0 kernel. But the large series of
questions and the supplied defaults are daunting. I would like
to start with the basic selections that were made by RedHat for
the distributed kernel.
Is the configuration file used by RedHat available, where can I
find it. (Is it under my nose, and the defaults supplied by
xconfig, menuconfig the same as the distribution kernel?)
I'd like to activate ip_forwarding and ip_masquerade, and my SB AWE 32.
And remove support for unneeded hardware.
