I have had my domain name registered in the US domain for years. Until
August of this year I only had a UUCP connection. I lost it and now have
a PPP connection. I have kept my US registration. What I had to do was
give them my ISP's two name servers via a supplied form. If I have a fixed
IP address from my ISP, then all that is required, I think, is for them to
place me in their DNS. However, I know of no way to do this with a dynamic
address. The reason to be registered in the US domain is my name@domain
will never change.
My biggest problem has been finding examples of addressing with a registered
domain not in your ISP's and with dynamic addressing! :-(
