Hi all,

We have a machine that is:
486dx4 120
16MB RAM
AHA2742vl SCSI host adapter
1.06 GB Conner SCSI HD
4.3 GB Atlas Quantum SCSI HD.

The machine installs and runs for 2-4 days and then causes a PANIC
prob, which corrupts the fs. The panic is caused by paging unable to
occur. Half the time bdflush is reported to not be runniong during
boot. But the same thing happens even when it is running. This one is
meant to be a small news machine only, so it has hardly anything on
it. We have installed numerous times all to the same effect.

Is there a fix for this situation? or do we need to ditch our 2742vl
? It appears to work ok for awhile so I'm wondering if the problem is
not fixable. More RAM?

TIA

Chris
