I was forced to install Redhat (Colgate) from my hard drive
because I was not able to find an appropriate setting to
recgonize my cdrom which is attached to the IDE controller
of my SoundBlaster 32 card.

What are the steps I need to take in order to get the Kernel to
recognize the cdrom. Do I have to recompile the kernel to
include support for my Soundcard before I can add a line to
the fstab config file ?

If anyone has experience with this please let me know.

Thank you
