Yes, both have full domain names comsat.net and I tried putting both
picard and picard.comsat.net in hosts.lpd on raven, neither worked.
4.0 didn't have a file hosts.lpd and I don't see one on my old 3.0.3
backups either. Where can I find some info on this file ?

I have the same thing in my /etc/hosts.

This is such a dumb problem, since both machines are clean installs of
RedHat4.0 and can't print to one another.
Thanks for the help, I guess its time to try out the support from
RedHat and see if it is as bad as some of the mail says, I doubt it.
Those guys at RedHat have always been pretty good, I just think
a little short handed.
