Actually, that's not a bad idea. One of the nice things about a UMSDos =
system is you can zip the whole thing up and just unzip it under Dos on =
another machine. Run loadlin to start the kernel and go. =20
It would certainly be a valid approach for people with dual boot =
systems. It would be really handy if the system had the ftape and scsi =
modules too...

I, for one, have a small umsdos system, left over from my Slackware=20
days, installed on a second hard disk. I still use it now and then to =
hold=20
backups of critical files. On one occasion, I had to boot from it in =
order=20
to repair my RH4 filesystem, so a umsdos system definitely can be used=20
for rescue purposes. Still, I'm not sure that it's really better than=20
a second native Linux system would be.
