I am new to Linux and I am trying to install redaht linux 3.0.3 on my
machine with following hardware.
Processor: Pentium Pro 200 MHZ
First Hard Drive at IDE0
Second Hard Drive at SCSI0
Adaptec 2940 controller at SCSI7
3c509b ehterlink iii card ( plug and play disabled )
creative SB32 PnP ( I don't know how to disble plug and play for this )
I tried several different kernal including the 2940-509.ker from
custom directory but none of these recognized my 3c509 or the
soundblaster (SB32) cards.
What exactly I need to do to get this thing working.
I will be really grateful if anyone of you could help me,
