I am having trouble installing Redhat 4.0; because of my
Future Domain 1630/1640 PnP SCSI Controller. I have seen the custom
kernels for other controllers. I have read the HOWTOs; and all other docs
I could get my hands on. If I had the parameters or knew how to build a
custom kernel; I would be all set.
Also; I have seen much reference to the problems Redhat has with Trident
9440 chip set. I have a Trident (TGUI) 9680 adapter. Will I ever be able to
load MetroX?
Any help with respect to these hurdles would be much appreciated. I am new to
Linux. I have inquired with support@redhat.com; but yet to hear from them.
