Yes we should.

I my experience, this has nothing to do with RedHat per se. It is a
matter of configuring the kernel which to my knowledge RedHat doesn't even
contribute to this development (correct me if wrong)

Again, unless I don't know something, this would be a kernel feature not
a RedHat feature.

Don't have one myself, but I have heard others say that the Mill. works.
Perhaps what you need (barring more expenditures) is to download the
Xfree86 3.2 rpms.

I agree that a canned response of this nature might be nice if they are
more than a couple days behind on their email.

I think the biggest problem many of us may have is the manner in which you
express your concerns not necessarily the concerns you may have. In fact,
being annoyed, bothered, or upset are not sufficient conditions, in most
of the people I like to converse with, to elicit the sarcasm and negative
attitute I have noticed in your posts. I am of the opinion that
meaningful, logical, and calm discussions/disagreements/arguments
expressing emotions in the choice of words, not necessarily capitalization
nor sarcasm. Please don't take offense as I recommend a simple revision
to the last sentence you wrote.

"Again, I appologize for my lack of experience with UNIX and/or
linux which may be the source of some of my not understanding of the below
questions. I have become a little upset with RedHat's terribly slow email
support system. I was not under the impression when I bought the software
that the support would be this difficult to get or non-existent as it has
seemed to be."

Notice that this is by no means perfect english! An english prof could
have a hayday I'm sure, the point is only that people in general take a
less defensive stance when presented with my revised statement. I contend
that the same emotions are conveyed, however.

Please note, these are just my opinions, some people truly believe that
swearing is an effective means of communication! :)

I don't know for sure, but I didn't do them in any particular order and
have been told by others that there is no particular order to do them.

No, but if you wish to add support for you sound card then yes. That is
it is absolutely not necessary, but you may want to anyway.

I think they do, but haven't had any experience with it, I have gotten all
my support through this list. I suspect that RedHat will address your
support based on the date they recieve the email, not the date at which
they get around to responding. I don't speak for RedHat, but this would
only be fair IMO.

You should not change it, but you should add a user for yourself. This
will prevent you from inadvertantly damaging your system.

You can add users in the user manager in the control-panel.

Good luck,
