Anyone using 'sendmail -RFOOBAR' - segfaults for me!

Hi!
Using redhat-4.0 I fail to get sendmail to forward selected emails from
the mail-queue.
All options for queue selection segfaults immediately.
'strace' reveals that it is very early.
Looking at the source code reveals that the problem may be due
to variables being declared 'externe' (variables used in the
optionparsing).
I tried to compile the src-rpm for the latest version of sendmail
but it failed. Perhaps trivial but I only spent 1 minute trying!
Anyone else seen this?
Or is the syntax:
sendmail -RFOOBAR
incorrect?
