Yes. Your most recent .config should be lying along the /usr/src/linux/
path. In fact, the make menuconfig and make xconfig scripts have a
menu option to load a .config as a starting point. I like to keep my
latest .config in /root or some other safe place, lest it be overwritten
when I run one of the config make scripts.
