There is an 'xsar' tool from sunsite that may be helpful. You can get the
RPMized version from
ftp://ftp.cs.cuc.edu/pub/linux/sunsite/X11/xutils/status/

Also look into xosview, which probably does more than xsar (which looked
to me to be rather small, although I didn't try it). xosview comes with
redhat, I think.
