OK, this one is really bugging me. I just installed 4.0, and when I run
pppd, I can't start X (fvwm95). If I start X it just comes up with the
blank grey screen and an X cursor. If I run X before starting ppp,
everything works except I can't run certain programs while ppp is
running. For example, I can't run Netscape or Midnight Commander while
ppp is on. When I try to start these programs, nxterm drops one line
and that's it. I can then type or hit ^C. When I deactivate the interface,
everything will run again. I have installed all the errata updates, and
other than that I have a complete default installation. My modem is a
Hayes Accura 28.8. Any ideas?
