Some observations on the qmail.rpm.
1) In the FAQ (qmail) it is explained that one needs the link
/usr/lib/sendmail -> /var/qmail/bin/sendmail
to be able to use pine. This link is not made by the rpm.
2) It follows from 1) that the entry
sendmail-path=/usr/lib/sendmail -t
should be added to /usr/lib/pine.conf, so should
inbox-path=$MAIL
3) Somehow warn us, installers, that we should reset MAIL, and, more
importantly, the permissions on the home directories should be changed
(to not group writable). Of course, this latter sounds crazy to me, so
probably qmail should be patched to accomodate user-groups.
Thanks,
