You are definitely nuts, but maybe you are one of the happy kinds.
Note that I only noticed the X11 directory being created in /, none of
the other problems you saw. There were minor glitches in RH4, but they
were minor.
One that puzzles me endlessly is the improper setup of INN. For example,
I'm into my 4th rpm of INN and it still:
* is setup for /usr/spool and not /var/spool (minor, yeah, but why?)
* is setup for /usr/ucb/compress which should be /usr/bin/compress
I found maybe two or three permissions problems. This was a very clean
release as far as I can tell. I might not agree with everything they did,
but it was better than what came before.
