Since no one can figure out why redhat 4.0 keeps misplacing packages
during install (stuff in /X11 when shoudl be in /usr/X11) and since I
understadn Erik and them are very busy (you guys do work hard) it's looks
like this is the end for me and redhat
:-(
I can't afford to have a flakey system on my computer at home, I already
have enuff problems with a unstable laptop that has not worked since I
got it.
My nerves are shot....
I would attribute the problems I am having to the fact I am installing
from a local hd either ext2 or vfat it does not matter, same thing
happens, and I would get the cdrom for this desktop computer, but once my
laptop gets fixed I would like to use redhat 4.0 on their and since it
does not have a cdrom and I would have to do install from local hd, I
would run into same problems again (mabye)
Weird thing is NFS installs on campus work great no problems
I am open to suggestions, someone want to give me new boot/supp disk with
new rpm or something I would be willing to try it
OR ELSE (GULP) looks like Slackware 3.1 (BLEH BLEH) or Debian
