Metro X installation problems

I have not been able to correctly configure Metro X for installation. I
keep getting the error that it can not open pointing device ttys0. I have
a millenium matrox 4 meg and a magDXt-17 and a microsoft mouse and
keybord.
Anybody have any ideas.
By the way, I assume that the control panel and rpm tools run under
Accelerated X. Is this correct?
