Sheepishly, Dave discovered, just after posting this message, that you
must include the "Other ISA" drivers, as well as the PCI drivers to
have the card recognized.  This is, in fact, tucked inside the HOWTO.

Jeez...anybody got a towel for me to wipe this egg off my face?
