Hi...
Wondered if anyone else has experienced this particular problem.
While trying to install RH 4.0, the system reboots part way through the
package installs, the result of which is an unstable, unworkable system.
This of course necessitates reinstalling the old 3.0.3, w/updates and
trying again, only to suffer the same problem.
My system is pretty generic...NEC Cdrom, which is recognized
486 50 mhz processor
16 meg memory
20 meg swap
7245 hard drive (2 of em), but upgrading to a +3gig drive
generic monitor
cirrus logic 5434 video
and a couple of other bells and whistles, but, nothing earth shaking. As
indicated, pretty generic.
If you have had the problem, how did you solve it? For the moment the 4.0
stuff is sitting off on the side while 3.0.3 + upgrades to RH internals
and the latest kernel runs quite nicely.
Thanks in advance.
