I am a beginner, but this happened to me also. Reread the entire
errata from http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/rhl-intel/rh40-errata-intel.html.
You have to do a bunch of extra steps (steps 5-9 from the errata sheet
listed above, in the SCSI adaptor section).
