xlock and NIS

Does the combination of xlock and NIS work for anybody out there?  For me,
it doesn't recognize any passwords, almost as if it were somehow not doing
the NIS lookup.  Annoying.  At least I can kill it from another VC, but I
would prefer it worked as it should...

P.S.  I tried looking for this in the errata.  I must say that the errata
is quite well hidden in the Red Hat site.  I understand why you might not
want to put something like that on the front page, but it would be nice if
it were a bit easier to find.
