Colgate: xterm + telnet suddenly dies..

Hi,
After upgrading my 3.0.3-system to Colgate a problem came up.
Whenever I start an xterm and then telnet from there to another
host and list a lot of data (eg ls -l /usr/bin), the whole xterm
goes out the backdoor. (just disappears)
Anyone seen this/have a solution ??
FYI, I run kernel 2.0.23 and it didn't happen with Picasso
