Oh.
If it does boot from floppy,
and has been installed to the SCSI drive,
AND you can boot with /dev/(scsi device)
so that you're started...
Remember to go to /usr/src/(linux) and rebuild the kernel with
adaptec 2940 support, and reinstall the kernel.
See the README in /usr/src/linux(where your linux source tree is)
and also read about LILO.
You'll end up removing some links, making some new links
(/usr/include - according to README)
Then /usr/src/linux... make mrproper
then make menuconfig (pick all the right options)
make dep; make clean; make zImage;
Then copy the image to /somethingkernelname
edit /etc/lilo.conf
run lilo
and reboot.
