This up here looks like a problem. Most BIOS's will only boot from
the first IDE drive if there is a SCSI drive and an IDE drive.
Install it on /dev/hda and it should work.
> map=/boot/map
> install=/boot/boot.b
> timeout=50
> default=linux
> other=/dev/hda1
> label=dos
> table=/dev/hda
> image=/boot/vmlinux
> label=linux
> root=/dev/sda1
> initrd=/boot/initrd
> readonly
