Hi,
Just last night I was installing some updated RPMS (pam, util-linux,
etc.) when I untar'ed something that filled up my partition. Now
whenever I try to log in, I get "Login incorrect" immediately after
entering my user name. It doesn't even prompt me for a password.
Using a boot disk, I checked out the passwd file. It was all there. I
got rid of the root password, but that didn't help.
Any ideas what could have happened to me? I don't know where to start
looking.
I didn't have problems until I logged out and tried to log back in
again. I deleted the offending directories, so I now have space on the
partition. I also tried running e2fsck on the partition, but it did not
help.
Thanks,
- Johann
