YEP Sure did. It makes no mention of the adapter not being recognized, only
scsi devices.

Too new? You gotta be kidding. I looked at the pci.h on the cdrom and it
didn't have an entry for the 7861 (2940AU) in it. However, 2.0.25 did.
Also, check out http://confused.ume.maine.edu/~aic7xxx/aic7xxx/4852.html.
This posting (dated 29 Sep) makes mention of this fact. So, in my feeble
mind, it should have been available in November when I received RH4.0, no?
It wouldn't be taken out, would it?
