I have a directory NFS exported from my RedHat 4.0 machine. On our
network, we have Sun machines that can mount the directory. However, if
they do an 'ls /net/borabora' (borabora is RedHat hostname), it does not
get automounted.
I then did an "rpcinfo -b 100003 2" from the Sun machines and from
borabora. borabora was not listed, but I did find the following line in
my /var/log/messages:
borabora portmap[459]: connect from x.y.z.100 to callit(nfs): request not
forwarded
where x.y.z.100 is the originating system's IP.
Do I have something set up wrong such that my machine is not answering
RPC broadcast queries?
Also, per yesterdays posting, if anybody can help me set up "rsh"
operations, I'd appreciate it. I get "Permission denied", but do have a
"portmap" entry in hosts.allow.
Thanks,
Mike Blatchley
