I need some quick help with configuring my box for virtual web hosting.
I am running colgate and have already added the appropriate text to my
httpd.conf file so apache will serve the right docs when the requests come
in for the virtual host
DNS is handled by a machine running bsdi and is already pointing the
virtual host to the new approriate ip address.
I am confused though about exactly what to tell the machine to do using
"ifconfig"
There are conflicting docs on this subject and no solid faq (that I have
been able to find) from redhat.
for discussion sake the address of my linux box is
xxx.xxx.xxx.200
and the address of my virtual web site is
xxx.xxx.xxx.201
could some one please tell me what exactly to enter using if config so that
my ethernet card will properly host both addresses.
I have tried:
the few suggestions that I have found on the web but none of them seem to work.
Thanks so much for any help I can get, and if I have posted this message
incorrectly to this list please do not flame...just point me in the
direction of the proper forum to bring this question up in or the proper
place to find the faq on this subject
