I have an .Xdefaults in my home directory that I migrated from my previous
linux installation. I noticed in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc it uses this file
as .Xresources, so I renamed it.

It still doesn't use my local resources, despite the 'xrdb -merge'
command. What can I be doing wrong?

Even with an 'strace startx' I don't even see my .Xresources file being
opened, but can't track it down any further.

Any suggestions?

Dave
