You can quite happily go ahead and edit ANY of the text config files in
any Red Hat distribution. This is *not* an M$ product (anyone else had fun
with NT's registry???).
The Red Hat sysadmin tools are there to help the new owner/user/sysadmin -
not to prevent experienced users from doing exactly what they want.
I (personally) prefer the command line method most of the time, but also
use the graphical tools some of the time...
