Hear hear!
This is the exact reason most companies tuck their develpers away in
some office, with no semi-offical contact with the rest of the
wowrld. Then when you need to ask "what the hell were you thinking"
you either can't, or have to jump through the firey hoops of the "did
you plug it in" questions.
I like the way Red Hat does things... and you have to keepin mind
they're just a startup for all intents and pruposes. Very few
startups have the resources to keep up with support for a while after
their product becomes popular. How fast do you think they can hire
and train support people?
