i just installed and put RH 4.0 on a brand new IBM Ultrastar ES
yesterday. very slick drive. compared to the WD 1.2 GB IDE drive that
it replaces, it makes the machine feel like a whole new computer. a
lot of people around the dept. have seagate hawk 2.1 GB drives which
are comparable, but somewhat more expensive. a couple of them have
gone belly-up, too. for $340 from NECX, it's really hard to beat the
IBM.
