has anyone built the static version of taper? i used taper-6.7.4-2.src.rpm,
unpacked the source (no patch are applied in taper-6.7.4-2), and tried
make taper-static
which gave the error while linking bg_backup:

not sure what this '-lc' is... is it libc? as you can tell, i'm not too good
at this...
i've got:
[root@tulipe taper-6.7.4]# rpm -q bxform ncurses ncurses-devel
bxform-0.81-1
ncurses-1.9.9e-3
ncurses-devel-1.9.9e-3
