I'm attempting to get Netatalk going, so my RedHat box can provide
printing & storage for the kids Mac. So far, the experience has not been
as pretty as I would like...

I obtained the version 7 rpm from ftp.redhat.com, and installed it.
Following earlier advice, I ran the startup script (it appears to work),
brought it back down, and tried to start back up (things hung at that
point).

I rebooted Linux (I needed to check a Windows program for a son, which is
why Linux came down in the first place), and the atalkd exited with an
error concerning a locked up Network card (or something similar). I'm
wondering if I need to recompile the kernel/NIC driver module, and doing
some reconfiguration.

I'm open to pointer/suggestions on this. I'd really like to finish this
project this week. 8-).
