Did you wait a bit? It may take a while for the PS pictures to load.
But sometimes xdvi indeed does not show the whole picture. The support
of PS files is not perfect yet in xdvi. To view a tex document with
included PS pictures, do, after texing,

	dvips filename.dvi -o 

(this creates filename.ps)

	ghostview filename.ps
