I'm the Menuconfig author, and I would like to help you with this. My
first thought is that you have more than one version of the ncurses
package installed.
Check to see if you have /usr/lib/libncurses-1.9.9e as well as a lesser
version such as /usr/lib/libncurses-1.9.6. If you have 1.9.9e installed,
make SURE you do not also have the directory /usr/include/ncurses. If
1.9.9e is install use less to check /usr/include/curses.h for a line like
#define NCURSES_VERSION "1.9.9e"
Beyond this, I'll need to have more info from you, perhaps a log of the
error messages you get when trying to compile. But please triple check
your ncurses installation first.
Thanks for the feedback!
