Subject: Sound recording
I don't believe this is a RedHat-specific problem, but
this list seems to be filled with many knowledgeable
folks. Thought I'd try here first...
I have a system with a SoundBlaster 16 card in it. I
followed the Sound HOWTO to get sound up and working
on my system. Currently, I'm able to play sounds fine,
but when attempting to record from the microphone per
the HOWTO instructions, I get nothing. When I turn on
the mic I can here it through the speakers, but when I
play back the output of 'dd' it is pure silence.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Craig
