Yet another question with lots of answers that don't work for me.

I am also getting the "sendmail hangs at boot" problem but cannot solve
it.

I have done the following:

1. Loaded up the latest sendmail rpms:

	[root@stanley /root]# rpm -qa | grep sendmail
	sendmail-8.7.6-4
	sendmail-cf-8.7.6-4
	sendmail-doc-8.7.6-4

2. booted with an empty (actually non-existent) /etc/resolv.conf

3. Have a HOSTNAME file with a name in it (granted a name I made up, but
at least something).

I was going to put the sendmail invocation in the background in the rc.d
files, but it touches a log file afterwards, so I didn't know if that
would screw things up even worse.

What else should I try?
