Screen users....
I must admit I'm confused by all the problems people are reporting.
I had trouble with the 3.7.1-1 version of screen. I recompiled the
SRPM and it works fine as root or user, in an xterm or from the console.
If everyone having problems would report details to the list, maybe a
pattern would emerge.
Let us know -
Install specifics - 4.0 fresh install, 3.0.3 upgrade?
What have you added yourself - post 2.0.18 kernel, new libc, etc?
Is there anything else 'special' about your system?
