Hi, I've got a problem with PAM on my intel Colgate system, running
kernel 2.0.23. I've done all the errata updates, and I've got pam-0.50-21.

We use NIS maps on our network, and I'm trying to set up a small
list of users that are allowed to login to this host. This is what the
entry in my pam.conf looks like (I borrowed from the similar entry for ftp):

login	auth required /lib/security/pam_listfile.so \
	debug item=user sense=allow file=/etc/loginusers onerr=succeed
#
login auth required /lib/security/pam_securetty.so
login auth required /lib/security/pam_unix_auth.so
login account required /lib/security/pam_unix_acct.so
login password required /lib/security/pam_unix_passwd.so
login session required /lib/security/pam_unix_session.so

Anyways, whenever I try to login, I get the following errors:

Nov 6 18:42:49 daddy-longlegs pam[4818]: unable to resolve symbol:
	pam_sm_acct_mgmt
Nov 6 18:42:49 daddy-longlegs pam[4818]: error loading
	/lib/security/pam_listfile.so
Nov 6 18:42:49 daddy-longlegs pam[4818]: unable to dispatch function
Nov 6 18:42:49 daddy-longlegs syslog: FAILED LOGIN SESSION FROM localhost
FOR (null), Critical Error - Aborted

So, it appears that there are symbols in some of the modules that
my host can't resolve. This is a straight system, though, so I don't know
what I could have done to the libraries; rpm -V tells me everything is OK.

I have to disable the pame_listfile line, since nobody can login
otherwise (even when I set onerr=succeed). On a related topic, I would have
checked the pam-list archives for anything about this before mailing, but I
can't find any.

RedHat archives some other lists, how about a nice archive for the
pam-list? If there arlready is one, where might I find it? Thanks in
advance. >=-)>
